<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching arrangement of small size and well adaptive characteristic to environment, inexpensively. <P>SOLUTION: The switching arrangement comprises a circuit breaker 4 and a disconnector 5 in a grounded case 1. An insulating gas is sealed at the atmospheric pressure or higher in the case 1. In the case 1, a vacuum switching device 6 in which the circuit breaker 4 and the disconnector 5 are stored side by side in the same vacuum container is so arranged through an insulating post 22, so that the moving direction of its contact point becomes horizontal.
