PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-mount display constituted so that brightness in an image may be prevented from becoming excessively higher than outside brightness. SOLUTION: A lighting window 5 is provided on the outer side (a side opposite to an eye side) of a housing for a display part 4, and a brightness sensor 6 is provided in a position facing the lighting window 5 in the housing for the display part 4. Light shielding plates 7 and 8 are separately provided to the housing of the display part 4 above and under the lighting window 5. Consequently, the extent of light incident on the brightness sensor 6 is narrowed in the vertical direction, then, overhead light such as illuminating light is not detected by the brightness sensor 6.
