PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of keeping the dispersion efficiency of toner remaining on the surface of a photoreceptor drum for a long period of time in the image forming apparatus adopting a cleaner-less system. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the photoreceptor drum 15: a charger 16 for uniformly charging the surface of the photoreceptor drum; an exposure unit 17 for forming an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the photoreceptor drum; a developing unit 18 for forming a toner image by developing the electrostatic latent image; a transfer unit 19 for transferring the toner image to a recording medium; and a memory removal member 20 for dispersing toner t remaining on the surface of the photoreceptor drum. In the image forming apparatus A, the memory removal member is formed from a conductive sponge S that comes into contact with the surface of the photoreceptor drum.
