PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus etc. in which a transfer roller can be stably arranged at a prescribed position even when swinging or the like due to conveyance exerted thereon. SOLUTION: The transfer unit 30 is provided with regulation members 50 which regulate movement of the transfer roller and keep a retention state of the transfer roller by means of a main body part 31. The regulation members 50 are detachably disposed and on both end of the main body part 31. The regulation members 50 are disposed by two and regulate the movement of the transfer roller on both end of the transfer roller. The regulation member 50 has such a constitution as to strike a stopper part formed on a main body and regulate the movement of the transfer roller by the stopper part while a front cover is closed. More specifically, the regulation member 50 has such a constitution as to be held between the stopper part and the main body part 31 while the front cover is closed.
