[PROBLEMS] To provide a (meth)acrylamide production method using a microbial catalyst, whose production process can be simplified and which can reduce the production cost. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The process comprises the following steps (a) and (b): (a) hydrating (meth)acrylonitrile with a microbial catalyst containing nitrile hydratase in an aqueous medium to yield a (meth)acrylamide reaction solution (I); and (b) removing impurities from the reaction solution (I) to yield an aqueous (meth)acrylamide solution (II), wherein the concentration of (meth)acrylamide in the reaction solution obtained in the step (a) is higher by 2 to 20% by weight than that in the aqueous solution (II) obtained in the step (b).
