A friction noise reducing wiper is provided to control the frictional force applied to the tip end of a blade by controlling an ER(ElectroRheological) fluid of the wiper and controlling the property of a rubber. A wiper includes a wiper arm, a blade support section, and a blade. The blade support section is installed at an end of the wiper arm. The blade is supported by the blade support section. An ER fluid is accommodated in the blade. A first electrode(142) and a second electrode(144) for interposing the ER fluid and applying a voltage are installed in the blade. The blade includes a body supported by the blade support section, a triangular contact section extending to the lower end of the body and the tip end of which makes contact with a windshield glass, and an ER fluid section connecting the body and the upper end of the contact section. |
