<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lead an ideal boundary position and accurately perform density correction for nozzles even when the attachment accuracy of the head of a line head printer is low. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing device has a density characteristic measurement means to measure density characteristics of nozzles attached to a plurality of heads and a correction means to correct images on the basis of density characteristics measured by the density characteristics measurement means. In a test pattern to measure density characteristics of all the nozzles, a prescribed number of the nozzles (three nozzles for example) of a plurality of heads (heads A, B, and C for example) are made to overlap, nozzle position detection patterns (guides h, i, j, k, l and m) formed by at least two of nonoverlapped nozzles in the vicinity of the overlapped nozzles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
