PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus for recording time division images onto a recording medium in a way that kinds of the time division images can easily be grasped. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: an imaging device 2 and an imaging circuit 3 for dividing a constant exposure time into a plurality of times to consecutively image the time division images; an image summation section 32a for summating the imaged time division images to produce a summated image; and a reduced image generating section 32f for generating a reduced summated image by reducing the summated image, and furthermore includes: a recording image generating section 32b for recording the time division images onto the recording medium 16 as a file and recording the reduced summated image to a file header of the time division images; a recording medium access section 32d; a file header management section 31e; and a file/folder management section 31f.
