<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image whose dynamic range is compressed while maintaining the contrast without photographing a plurality of images under different exposure conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus, including an imaging element for outputting image information with a prescribed dynamic range by imaging, and outputting image information with a dynamic range smaller than that of the image information from the imaging element includes: a plural exposure image generating section for falsely generating a plurality of image information corresponding to images imaged under different exposure conditions from the image information of one image outputted from the imaging element; and an arithmetic section that divides each image into a plurality of partial regions as to the image information generated by the plural exposure image generating section, discriminates an entropy for each partial region of the images, selects the image of the partial region with the greatest entropy for each partial region in the images to generate one composite partial region image, and executes a blend arithmetic operation to smooth seams of the composite partial region image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
