PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data communication system, a data communication method and a program, wherein data are correlated with a pulse width of a communication signal encoding the data to control the pulse width, whereby a multi-signal can be outputted by a one port output. SOLUTION: A host device 12 constituting the data communication system 10 is provided with a pulse generator 21, a data transmitter 22, and a first data conversion table 23. A printer 14 is provided with a data receiver 31, a pulse width detector 32, a data converter 33, and a second data conversion table 34. Accordingly, the multi-signal can be outputted by the one port output.
