PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paste transfer apparatus capable of ensuring a proper quantity of application by simultaneously forming coating of paste having different film thicknesses. SOLUTION: The paste transfer apparatus is used for a component mounter for mounting a component having bumps formed on its bottom surface on a substrate, and supplying a flux to be applied by transfer to the bumps of a plurality of components held in a transfer head in a manner of coating. In this apparatus, a first squeegee member 9A is moved up and down by a squeegee mechanism 23A to change the film thickness of the coating in the midpoint of a film forming operation for horizontally moving a transfer table 7 relatively to a squeegee unit 8, and the coating of flux is formed with different film thicknesses set in accordance with the plurality of components on a coating forming surface 7a.
