PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving box equipped with waterproof and security installations, and (1) which can receive more articles as large and thick as possible (circular bulletins, mail order catalogs, telephone directories or the like), and (2) prevent mailed things from standing upright just under the input slot. SOLUTION: A slide 7 is attached onto the inner bottom surface of a receiving box having an input slot 3 on the upper surface of a rectangular parallelepiped body so that a mailed thing does not stand upright just under the input slot 3 but is turned down on its side, to make a space under the input slot 3 for larger storage.
