PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize equipment on the floor side and to improve the utilization environment of a wheelchair. SOLUTION: The wheelchair fixing device 2 comprises a belt 21 having a connecting member 23 attachable and detachable to/from a fixing metal fitting 3 installed on the floor and a winding means 22 capable of winding and storing the belt 21, and the winding means 22 is installed to the wheelchair 1. Thus, as the equipment on the floor side, the fixing metal fitting 3 to which the belt 21 is to be connected through the connecting member 23 is sufficient. Also, by the device, a wheelchair user can perform fixing work by himself/herself, and even when a helper performs the work, the work burdens of the helper can be less. Further, it is not needed for the helper to carry the device and it is not needed to prepare it in a place to fix the wheelchair either beforehand. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
