A connection part protrudes inwards from a surface of the axial borehole. A pointed part (7b) protrudes from a front end of the metal housing. A mating part is fixed in the connection part. A shoulder part is arranged at a distance away from a front stage part of the connection part. A part is formed between the pointed part and the mating part, where an outer diameter of the part is larger than the mating part. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a glow plug.
