<p>On departure of the measured air flow (LMmess) from the modeled airflow (LMmod) by more than a given quantity, a sticking charge movement flap (12, 13) is identified automatically. The departure is determined at an operating point of the engine (1), in which the charge movement flap adopts complete opening as the desired position. A jammed-open charge movement flap is detected, when the measured air flow departs by a first value from the modeled air flow. An independent claim is included for a corresponding control unit.</p> |
