Method and System for Providing Paging Service for Mobile Communication Terminal by Using Neighbor List

A system and a method for providing a paging service to a mobile terminal by using a neighbor list are provided to realize a stable mobile communication system for a mobile terminal user by reducing the exchange load and paging load of an MSC(Mobile Switching Center) and maintaining a paging response rate and completion rate of a mobile terminal by more than a certain level. A BSM(Base Station Manager) client requests information about a cell that a mobile terminal uses from a VLR(Visitor Location Register)(S300). A neighbor list is generated from a BSM(S302). Paging clusters for each cell of the neighbor list are generated(S304). The paging clusters are packaged to generate an SUB-PAI(Sub-Paging Area Indicator), and the generated SUB-PAI is transmitted to an MSC(S306).
