The present invention relates to the treatment of therapy-resistant neopl asias. The compounds and methods of the invention are particularly useful fo r the treatment of taxol-resistant human cancers, particularly cervical and breast cancer. Components of the compositions of the present invention show strong synergy with one another allowing them to be used in relatively low a mounts for the treatment of stage IV or recurrent cancer which may have grow n resistant to the traditional chemotherapeutic agents. These compositions c omprise oridonin.
