PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and dynamically select an authentication method capable of maximally using performance of a terminal from a plurality of authentication method candidates in regard to a user terminal authentication method in a network system. SOLUTION: In the program carrying out authentication, a computer carries out a procedure of indicating data regarding terminal authentication in correspondence to a service request from a terminal and dynamically creating a terminal information object of a unified format independent of the model, a procedure of selecting an authentication method suiting the terminal in correspondence to contents of the object, and a procedure of carrying out authentication procedures with respect to the terminal by using the selected authentication method.
