PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of easily restarting reading of documents from documents whose reading is not finished without the need of restarting the reading from the first document even when paper jamming takes place in the case that the plurality of documents are read by means of automatic document feeding. SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 1, documents set to an automatic document feeding section 108B are separated one by one and conveyed to a read section 108D. The read section 108D reads the conveyed document and generates document image data representing the read document. A storage section 105 stores the document image data. When paper jamming takes place in the automatic document feeding section 108B, the image forming apparatus 1 displays a list of each image represented by the plural document image data stored in the storage section 105 on a liquid crystal display apparatus 107.
