PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of preventing a finger or a thing from inadvertently getting in touch with a contact through an opening of a connector housing, and capable of improving connection reliability of an electric signal or an optical signal. SOLUTION: The plug connector 1, provided with a connector housing 2, and a PCB 3 housed in the connector housing 2 having contacts 7 with contact faces exposed at one side, and functioning as an interface transmitting an electric signal or an optical signal by being insertion-coupled with a receptacle connector 45 to have the contacts 7 electrically connected with each other, is provided with a shutter 4 fitted as a part of bottom wall 13 of the connector housing 2 in free opening and closing at a position covering the contacts 7 formed at the PCB 3, staying at a closed state before insertion coupling of the connectors, and an open state during or after the insertion coupling of the connectors.
