PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clothes drier which enables temperature control during cooling operation while avoiding an increase in cost. SOLUTION: In the clothes drier which performs operation to dry clothes accommodated in a rotary chamber 23 by circulating the air in the rotary chamber 23 which passes through an air passage 51 where an evaporator 54 of a heat pump 58 and a condenser 55 are placed and cooling operation for delivering the air from an air delivery passage 61 to the outside of the clothes drier by opening the air delivery passage 61 branching off from the upstream side of a part where the evaporator 54 in the air passage 51 is placed and passing the outside air through the evaporator 54 from an air inlet 65 in an air flow opposite from the air flow during the drying operation, a second temperature sensor 87 for the temperature control is placed in the air passage 51 where the air flow of the drying operation and the air flow of the cooling operation pass.
