This invention concerns the use of an aqueous composition containing at least one surfactant that is structured as a bi-layer in the sponge type phase as per its application as a composition for cosmetics or as an agent in a cosmetic composition. It also concerns aqueous compositions, in particular lotions in the sponge phase which contain at least one cosmetic active ingredient or a cosmetic additive. It also concerns a cosmetic care procedure for skin or skin appendages, particularly for moisturizing them and/or a procedure to apply a scent to the skin or its appendages.
