A fuel identification device is provided to prevent damage to a car by determining whether fuel from a fuel gun is suitable to a sort of fuel on a fuel injection hole, by cutting off fueling and by generating an alarm when the fuel is not suitable. A fuel identification device comprises: an identification device through a wireless unit(10) positioned near a fuel injection hole, including a wireless communication device(11), a fuel injection open/close checking unit(12), a controller(13) and a fuel information memory(14) or only including the wireless communication device; and a wireless discriminator(20) positioned at a lubricator or a fuel gun, including a wireless communication device(21), a checking unit for approaching to a fuel hole(22), a controller(23), a fuel valve(24) and a sound generation unit(25). When vehicle fuel information is transmitted to the wireless communication device of the identification device through the wireless unit in wireless communication, the controller of wireless discriminator refers to the information and fuel information of the lubricator and determines whether the fuel is suitable to a vehicle. In addition, the controller admits or stops fueling by controlling the fuel valve and then informs a user whether the fuel is suitable or not through the alarm unit.
