<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evade power consumption resulting from needless operation at each apparatus in a Bluetooth communication system for example. <P>SOLUTION: By detecting the voltage VDD of a power supply terminal provided in an audio reproducer 4 to supply power to an external apparatus, a communication device (BT adaptor) detects the operating state (power supply state) of the audio reproducer 4, and performs appropriate control processing.
