SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOVING COKE DEPOSIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for removing coke deposits from a wall of high-temperature passage in which a hydrocarbon fuel exists.

SOLUTION: The coke deposits are removed from the wall of the high-temperature passage of a heat exchanger 16 or the like in which a hydrocarbon fuel exists by a coke removing system. The system is equipped with a carbon-vapor-gasification catalyst and a water supply system 14. The carbon-vapor gasification catalyst is applied to the wall of the high-temperature passage. Water is mixed with the fuel of piping 22 in the upstream of the heat exchanger 16 and the mixture is reacted with the coke deposits of the wall of the high-temperature passage in order to remove the coke deposits from the wall of the high-temperature passage by carbon-vapor gasification in the presence of the carbon-vapor gasification catalyst.
