<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce calculation time, and to secure convergence, in the calculation of a cell characteristic of a fuel cell stack that includes a plurality of fuel cells. <P>SOLUTION: A flow analysis of a gas in a fuel cell stack is carried out, by using a simple stack model of the fuel cell stack using each cell as a simplified pressure loss unit (S2). (S3) Flow analysis of the individual cell is carried out, by using an input/output condition of the gas for each cell in the stack determined in S2.
