<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel electrode for a fuel cell capable of electrolyzing sufficient water, and the fuel cell equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel electrode for the fuel cell (2) includes a catalyst layer (21) to promote protonation of hydrogen, a gas diffusion layer (23) to supply fuel gas to the catalyst, a first water electrolysis catalyst layer (22a) which is installed between the catalyst layer and the gas diffusion layer and contains a water electrolysis catalyst, and a second water electrolysis catalyst layer (22b) which is installed on the opposite side of the first water electrolysis catalyst layer of the gas diffusion layer, and contains the water electrolysis catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
