<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device for preventing density insufficiency and irregularity due to inferiority of developer pumping-up of a developer carrier in the developing device by performing circulation of a developer in the developing device well in the developing device using an agitating and conveying member having a plurality of spiral blade members in order to agitate the developer sufficiently, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device improves the inflow of the developer from a taking-in part to an agitating part by continuing any one of the spiral blade members of the agitating part and the spiral blade member of the taking-in part.
