<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor chip that is manufacturable without causing increase in the manufacturing cost, equipped with an electrode system having high sensitivity even when a volume of a reaction part is small, capable of attaining superior measurement accuracy, even when a trace amount of a sample, which is a sensor chip for introducing the sample into the chip, and utilizing chemical reaction in the chip, and a manufacturing method of the sensor chip. <P>SOLUTION: The sensor chip, having the reaction part and the electrode system for detection provided therein, has features wherein the electrode system for detection has an electrode comprising a metal wire, and the surface in the longitudinal direction of the metal wire is the surface of the electrode.
