PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic optical fiber for lighting equipped with a fixing means that does not depend on adhesive. SOLUTION: The plastic optical fiber 1 for lighting includes a core material which comprises a light-transmissive resin, capable of transmitting incident light, from one end to the other end and a clad material which, covering the periphery of the core material, is provided with a refractive index lower than that of the core material.
