PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium such that a font kind of a text subtitle stream can be switched during reproduction of an AV stream without breaking the reproduction. SOLUTION: On a BD-ROM, an AV clip, Clip information corresponding to the AV Clip, play list information, and font data are recorded. The play list information includes PlayItem information, which includes Clip_information_file_name representing the file name of the Clip information made to correspond to the AV Clip, an In point, an Out point, and STN_table indicating one or more text subtitle streams which can be reproduced in synchronism with the AV Clip. A font identifier is described in the Clip information, and the font identifier indicates font data which should be preloaded in a reproduction device before the AV Clip and text subtitle stream begin to be reproduced according to the play list information.
