PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a high-speed responsiveness of dynamic image display at a low cost in a liquid crystal display apparatus. SOLUTION: A timing controller 6 makes a comparison between a data of a line to be actually charged and a data of a line to be preliminarily charged precedent to the former line in pixel units, tallying up the number of differences not less than a predetermined value, adjusting a clock width of a gate clock signal GCK according to the tally to output the gate clock signal GCK 1, For example, when the preliminary charge at the same voltage as the actual charge causes overcharge, the preliminary charge period is shortened by narrowing the clock width corresponding to the preliminary charge line of the gate clock signal GCK 1.
