PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect cavitation properly. SOLUTION: This cavitation detection method for detecting cavitation generated in an object facility having liquid, has steps for: acquiring vibration data of the object facility; acquiring a frequency spectrum by performing Fourier transform of the acquired vibration data; determining the intensity of the frequency spectrum in each divided frequency band divided into the number of P; for calculating a quantity showing the degree of disturbance of the vibration data fluctuating by cavitation generation based on the intensity of the frequency spectrum corresponding to each of the divided frequency bands divided into the number of P, from parameters of a time domain and a frequency domain; and detection/evaluating the cavitation by using the parameters.
