PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of preventing smoke-like rising of re-evaporated steam from a discharge drain to prevent a circumferential environment from being affected thereby. SOLUTION: A coiled cooling fluid pipe 3 is disposed inside of a heat exchanger case 1 connected with a steam supply pipe 2. The cooling fluid pipe 3 is connected with a cooling fluid supply pipe 7 at its lower end and with a hot water discharge pipe 8 at its upper end. An ejector 5 and a gas ejecting means 14 are disposed on the way of the hot water discharge pipe 8. A drain discharge portion 9 is connected with a suction opening 12 of the ejector 5 through a pipe conduit 4. The drain discharged from the drain discharging portion 9 is sucked to the ejector 5, and collected in a prescribed drain collecting portion from the hot water discharge pipe 8, thus the drain is not discharged to the circumferential environment, and does not exert a bad influence.
