PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock device capable of being automatically locked when a paper screen is closed and preventing the occurrence of the situation in which a person is shut out of a room. SOLUTION: When a person in the room grasps a handle 35 of the lock device 20 and pulls the paper screen 12 onto a closing side, the handle 35 is held at a closing operation position, the paper screen 12 is closed, and the lock device 20 is locked. When the person in the room grasps the handle 35 and pulls the paper screen 12 onto an opening side, the handle 35 is held at an opening operation position and the lock device 20 is unlocked. When the person in the room goes to the outside of the paper screen 12 and closes the paper screen 12, the handle 35 is not operated and is held at a neutral position, the paper screen 12 is closed, and the lock device 20 is not locked. When the person being on an inner side of the paper screen 12 closes the paper screen 12, the lock device 20 is automatically locked in this way to increase possibility of crime prevention. When the person in the room goes to the outside of the paper screen 12 and closes the paper screen 12, the lock device 20 is not locked to prevent occurrence of the situation in which the person is shut out of the room.
