PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple corner buffer which offers fine assembly workability, and prevents the production of useless punching waste. SOLUTION: A first end board 11, a first outer board 12, a first inner board 13, and a first middle board 14, each board having a square shape, are disposed consecutively in order, and the boards 11, 12, 13, and 14 are provided with a second end board 17, a second outer board 18, a second inner board 19, and a second middle board 20, respectively, each second board having a square shape and being disposed consecutively at least on one side of each first board. The first end board 11 and the second end board 17 are demarcated with a slit 25, and the first inner board 13 and the second inner board 19 are demarcated with a punched slot 26. The middle boards 14 and 20, inner boards 13 and 19, and outer boards 12 and 18 are bent so that each pair of boards overlap, while the end boards 11 and 17 are bent so that the end boards 11 and 17 are bent against the overlapping boards 14 and 20, 13 and 19, and 12 and 18, and that at least adjacent first and second end boards 11 and 17 overlap at part of them.
