PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device equipped with a coating section which realizes the suppression of a viscosity increased coating agent being accumulated in a coating roller section, and to provide a coating device. SOLUTION: The coating agent 110 which is accumulated in a porous body is squeezed out by pressing the porous body 100 to the coating roller 71A and separating the porous body 100 from the coating roller 71A before this recording device is stopped for a specified period of time.
