<p>The method involves connecting static path converters (1) with path substations (2) or with path transformer stations, where the path substations are attached at central 110-kV-16, 7-Hz-path power supply systems, and the path converters directly supply 15-kV railroad overhead lines (3). An optimal converter voltage is calculated from the voltages of the adjacent substations based on overhead line impedances. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for on-line determination of overhead line impedances without measuring substation currents (2) a method for on-line determination of overhead line impedances with measurement of substation currents.</p> |
