摘要

An electron emission display device is provided to suppress color mixing of visible rays and improve the luminous efficiency of a phosphor layer by optimizing an area of the phosphor layer. A first substrate(2) and a second substrate(4) are opposite to each other. Electron emission elements are formed on the first substrate, and a black layer(10) having an opening is disposed on one surface of the second substrate. Phosphors fill the opening of the black layer, and an anode electrode(12) is disposed on surfaces of the phosphor layers and the black layer. A ratio of an area of the opening to an area of the phosphor layer is in the range of 1.05 to 4.8.
