<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information management system capable of protecting various kinds of information, and conducting authentication and verification concerning the system utilization efficiently and with a high degree of precision. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal device 7 transmits a user ID 31 and a password 32 inputted by a user to a medical information management server 5 (Step 101). The terminal device 7 photographs the user's facial image 43 by a photographing part 28 and sends it to the medical information management server 5 (Step 102). The medical information management server 5 refers to an authentication table 30 and conducts the authentication based on the user ID 31 and the password 32 (Step 103). The medical information management server 5 registers the facial image 43 in a history table 40 (Step 107).
