<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform processing of a PDF file so that an appropriate print result of an additive pattern such as ground tint or watermark in consideration for information of engine characteristics, in a print system for directly printing file data described in page description language PDL. <P>SOLUTION: A client 110 determines the model of a printer 120 connected, acquires additive pattern print density information according to the model of the printer 120, generates an additive pattern based on the acquired print density information, performs processing for analyzing a PDL file to be processed and adding the additive pattern thereto by a PDL file regeneration means 13 to form a PDL file again, and transmits the PDL file formed by the PDL file regeneration means 13 to the printer 120. The printer 120 directly prints file data described in the PDL of the PDL file containing the additive pattern which is transmitted from the client 110 with the additive pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
