<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small electric door opening-closing device for an automobile, capable of restraining electric power consumption, by forming a small, compact and lightweight rotation transmission device having a short length in the axial direction, and having the reduced number of parts. <P>SOLUTION: The rotation transmission device for switching the transmission and cutoff of torque, is interposed in a rotational power transmission mechanism of an electric door driving device of the automobile. A cam surface 8 is arranged on the outer periphery of a large diameter part 2 of a first shaft 1 in the rotation transmission device. A cylindrical surface 7 is formed on the inner periphery of an outer ring 3 arranged outside the large diameter part 2. A disk-shaped roller 11 incorporated between its cylindrical surface 7 and the cam surface 8, is stored in a radial directional groove 10 arranged on one surface of an armature 9 composed of a magnetic substance. The armature 9 is elastically held in a neutral position for engaging and releasing the roller 11 by incorporating a switch spring 13 between the mutual armature 9 and large diameter part 2. A rotor 18 is pressed in an opening end part of the outer ring 3, and an electromagnet 22 is opposed to its rotor 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
