PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying brine that is of a small installation area as a whole, can also treat wider qualities of process liquids, is of a small precise filtration load at a subsequent stage, and can be preferably used as a primary purification method of the brine. SOLUTION: After a raw industrial brine is roughly clarified, the brine is treated by a long fiber filtration device. As the long fiber filtration device, a turbidity removing device of such a structure as described below is preferably used: as shown in Fig. 1, a plurality of filtering media 4 are fixed in a suspension with an upper hanging string 7 and a lower hanging string 8 between an upper support 2 and a lower support 3 inside a tower (1), and a distance between the support 2 and the support 3, and the lengths of the filtering media 4, the string 7, and the string 8 are defined to meet a specific relationship therebetween.
