PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer particle dispersion liquid for accurately and selectively disposing spacer particles at specified positions corresponding to a non-pixel region on a substrate using an ink jet device, and to provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device, and a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The spacer particle dispersion liquid contains spacer particles and a solvent and is used to dispose the spacer particles on the surface of a substrate by using an ink jet device. The method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device includes a step of drying liquid drops discharged and formed on the surface of the substrate, wherein before the liquid drops are completely dried, the spacer particles aggregate in the liquid drops.
