PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a flicker and a residual image as well as simplifying a circuit configuration thereof. SOLUTION: A gate driver 34 is constituted of a shift register 36 and a level shifter 38, and the level shifter 38 is provided with (n) pieces of control switches 39 which are connected between (n) pieces of output terminals QT1 to QTn and (n) pieces of gate lines GL1 to GLn of the shift register 36, respectively, and switch between low potential and high potential gate voltages from first and second voltage lines FVL, SVL. A high potential gate voltage generator 42 is constituted of a high potential voltage generator 44, a voltage regulator 46, and a timing controller 48 for controlling the level adjustment timing of the voltage regulator 46, and supplies the high potential gate voltage having a falling part varying gradually and gently to the second voltage line SVL. Thus, the falling part of the scanning signal supplied to the gate line GL of a liquid crystal panel 30 varies gently. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
