PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain optical elements in which the mounting attitude of the optical elements is stabilized by balancing, reducing and controlling a load to the optical element, the deformation of the optical elements themselves is controlled and the deterioration of the optical characteristic is suppressed, to provide a method of fixing and connecting the optical elements, an optical scanner and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: In the method of fixing and connecting the optical elements 5 composed of a plurality of layers for optically scanning light beams which are emitted from a plurality of light sources and deflected, a projected boss 51 as a connection reference is provided at least on one transfer face, and a lib 53a for positioning is provided at the end part in the longitudinal direction on a lens face. A plurality of adhesion parts 71 are provided in the vicinity of the boss 51 formed on the transfer face of the optical elements 5, the plurality of optical elements are laminated in layers by using the lib 53a for positioning as a reference, and the optical elements 5 are fixed and connected to a body or other optical elements 5 by a plurality of adhesion parts 71.
