PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger of a type capable of dispensing with a case, having high efficiency and easy to be manufactured. SOLUTION: This layered plate type heat exchanger 10 is provided to conduct heat from the first fluid flowing in a plurality of U-shaped flow channels 12 via the heat exchanger 10 to the second fluid flowing in a plurality of U-shaped flow channels 14 via the heat exchanger 10. Embossed beads 44, 46 are provided in the respective plates 18A, 18B. The embossed beads 44, 46 are embossed on side faces opposite to the plates 18A, 18B to be coupled with corresponding one of the beads 44, 46, to partition the corresponding U-shaped flow channels 12, 14.
