PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame forming method for efficiently forming a frame constructed of pillar members and beam members without much expense in time and effort. SOLUTION: The frame forming method is provided for forming the frame by erecting the precast pillar members P at intervals, and setting a beam B which is obtained by connecting the plurality of precast beam members 1 together, on the pillar members P adjacent to each other. According to the method, the pillar member P has formed in an upper edge thereof joint bar receiving sections 3, beforehand, into which joint bars 2 for connection between the beam B and the pillar member, are insertable, and the beam member 1 has formed in an edge thereof a butting portion 1A which is butted against the beam member 1 adjacent thereto so as to be connectable to the same. Further the mutually pairing beam members 1 to be connected together are arranged on the pillar member P such that the butting portions 1A are butted against each other, and the joint bars 2 are vertically inserted and settled in the butting portions 1A of the respective beam members 1 until they reach the respective joint bar receiving portions 3.
