PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning heavy metal-containing paddy soil by efficiently removing heavy metals in the heavy metal-containing paddy soil. SOLUTION: In the method for cleaning heavy metal-containing paddy soil in situ, with which the soil is cleaned with water, after it is cleaned with a chemical aqueous solution, the chemical aqueous solution or the water is added so that the depth from a plow sole to the water surface becomes≥35 cm and the soil is cleaned.
