A window well strip for a motor vehicle door (10) to guide and seal the window comprises a sealing strip of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EDPM) base (16) and attached plastic former (17) giving a force- and form-fitted autonomous component through a connection (18). The base has a U-shaped clamping strengthening region at the door flange (14) and a T-shaped stay and is firmly fixed with the inner sheet (12) of the motor vehicle door by clips (45).
